by Ben Sawyer Digitalmill is a Portland, Maine based technology project development firm with clients worldwide. The company has taken on a number of interesting projects, many dealing with interactive game development including The Sloan Foundation's Virtual U game project. The company has produced two books and numerous articles about game development, and several market research reports on the gaming industry. Currently, Digitalmill is working on Virtual U 2.0 and consulting on other projects that combine gaming, education, and training. Ben Sawyer is the cofounder of Digitalmill. As co-founder of Digitalmill, Sawyer is in charge of strategy, technology, and business development. Sawyer has authored or co-authored more than 10 computer trade books as well as numerous articles on a wide range of technology areas including e-commerce, interactive game development, software marketing, and computer graphics. In 1995, after 15 years in New York City, Sawyer settled in his home state of Maine and began a career as a high-tech freelance writer and technology consultant.
